Bag a brick, build a future
Singapore Kopitiam Team | 10 December 2010

Taking place from 1 to 24 December 2010, booths have been set up at all four Metro stores across Singapore – Paragon, Causeway Point, Compass Point and City Square Mall.
Organised by Metro Pte Ltd, in collaboration with the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) and Pioneer Junior College (PJC), funds raised will go towards the Beacon of Learning, a two-year education project aimed at providing financial aid to needy students, capacity building training for teaching staff, and constructing a multi-purpose hall at a senior high school in Bandung, Indonesia.
One of the ways the public can contribute is to purchase a set of bags from Metro:
Bag a Brick, Build a Future
In line with the building of the community hall at SMAN 11, Metro has designed stylised brick-boxes which include an A4-sized cotton recycled bag packed in the box for sale during the fundraising period. Purchase one for just S$12.
Pick up a bag today to give approximately 1,000 students a brighter tomorrow - every little brick counts!
