A grocery warehouse sale event called “Every ONE Can” aims to put food on the tables of the less fortunate.
Consumers get to buy groceries at wholesale prices with the proceeds going to charity.
FoodXervices and ONE (SINGAPORE) are organising the event on 29 October in support of Willing Hearts, which prepares and delivers free meals every day to some 2,000 individuals in need of assistance. ONE is an NPO dedicated to highlight and put into action ways to eradicate poverty.
"There are, unfortunately, people in Singapore who do not have the resources to eat one, much less two, proper meals a day. Willing Hearts and their volunteer team do an amazing job of assisting many of these families," said Vernetta Lopez, president of ONE (SINGAPORE).
She added that "by buying groceries for donation at warehouse prices” at the sale, people can help out the less fortunate and create a better world for them.
This is the fourth time that FoodXervices and ONE (SINGAPORE) are teaming up for “Every ONE Can”.
Past beneficiaries include needy families supported by Food From The Heart, New Hope Community Services and Evercare Welfare Centre.
