The firsts of Singapore Food Festival 2010

… Food Event to be organised under the Your Singapore branding. This year’s festival takes into view the message of offering different Singapore Chinese Dialects food to cater to different tastes allowing people to create their own personalized Singapore experience with food.

Tingkat Cruise activity where the public is able to learn about the various Singapore Chinese Dialect food culture and our heritage all in the relaxing bumboat ride along Singapore River. Plus, every participant gets a tingkat (tiffin carrier) with Singapore Chinese dialect food to partake during the 45‐minute ride.

Cashless Transaction system at Clarke Quay Food Street (16~24 Jul 10). In partnership with the Kopitiam Group, consumers will be able to buy the Kopitiam card and use it to purchase the food on sale during the duration of the festival. Any credit left in the card can still be used at all Kopitiam outlets after the festival.

Payment Gateway system to be incorporated into the official website www.singaporefoodfestival.com so that the public may register for various SFF activities and make their payments online instantly!

Digital Cooking Game called “Grandma’s Kitchen”‐ a fun and entertaining game application that is available on the SFF website where young and old can play and learn a thing or two about cooking some of our best‐loved Singapore Chinese dialect food.

Special Programme to engage bloggers with the Food in Translation, where a group of local bloggers will embark on food tasting sessions to sample different Singapore Chinese Dialect dishes and blog about it in real time!

Buffet to feature not only one, but FIVE, buffet lines with a total of 108 dishes comprising the different Singapore Chinese Dialect food, all set on the Read Bridge.
