Entertainment outlets across Singapore are teaming up with the National Council Against Drug Abuse (NCADA) to educate their patrons to have good clean fun on their premises.
From October to November 2011, the Clubs Against Drugs Campaign “Party Clean, Party Again. Are you in?” rallies Singapore entertainment outlets to teach responsibility and raise awareness about drug abuse.
NCADA is organising DJ Dathe’s Breath-stops, a roaming door-step event for pubs and clubs that are celebrating Halloween.
DJ Dathe and his ghouls are fictional characters created by the National Council Against Drug Abuse (NCADA) help remind people to stay drug-free.
The target audience of this annual campaign is club-goers from 18 to 40 years old who are expected to turn up in troves during the popular party season.
Strong support from club owners
Some 200 pubs, clubs and karaoke operators, an increase of 33% from last year, have inked their support for the island-wide Campaign. These 200 supporters are coming from all corners of Singapore. Along with the latest clubs in town the entertainment outlets will be displaying Campaign posters and mirror decals on their premises.
DJ Dathe will be making his breath-stops at around 65 clubs and pubs to engage club-goers directly.

When the clubbers see him, they can take pictures with him with their personally penned anti-drug messages as well as participate in an online contest to win attractive prizes.
Various Halloween Goodies, campaign collaterals carrying anti-drug messages, including Light-up pens and Glow-in-the-Dark tattoo stickers, will also be distributed at the nightspots to reel club-goers in and remind them to party responsibly and drug-free.
Facebook campaign
NCADA will launch a new Anti-Drug Pledge Wall application on its Clubbing Without Drugs Facebook fan page for this year’s Campaign.
Photographs of club-goers taken with DJ Dathe at the nightspots with placards bearing their personal party-clean pledges will become the building ‘bricks’ for the Anti-Drug Pledge Wall.
The photographs with the most votes stand a chance to win prizes in the DJ Dathe’s Photograph Contest (from 21 October to 4 November).
More information on DJ Dathe’s roaming schedule can be obtained from his blog and Twitter.
